Why this lighthouse silhouette makes a difference every day
A single motif can often change the whole mood. The lighthouse brings the coast, open skies and a touch of wanderlust to the table. You don't need lots of other decorations. Use it as table scatter at a coffee party, as a painted lighthouse on the buffet or in your window display. It ties your nautical theme together. And because you choose the size yourself, it can blend in rather than dominate. Or you can make it the centrepiece on purpose.
Material & finish
The silhouette is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. It is made from 1.2 mm bookbinding board. This is a sturdy solid board with 755 g/m², the kind valued by bookbinders. You can feel this as you work. The board is stable and doesn't warp when you hold it. It is still easy to glue, paint or varnish. The surface is smooth and untreated. The laser cutting leaves the edges brown. This is typical of the process and gives the motif a fine outline.

How to use the cardboard lighthouse
- Crafting with kids: each child paints their own lighthouse in red and white. In the end, a little coastline stands on the windowsill.
- For First Communion, confirmation or christening: small lighthouses as table scatter on the festive table. The theme of the celebration reaches every place setting.
- For money gifts and cards: glue the silhouette on or tie it to the gift. An envelope becomes a personal greeting with a holiday feel.
- In a café or at the shop counter: a large lighthouse up to 50 cm high gives your fish roll offer or summer promotion a clear theme. It's quick to set up, with no need to rearrange anything.
- In the shop window: arrange several sizes in a staggered row. Your display tells a nautical story at a glance.
Good to know about the lighthouse
For centuries, lighthouses have guided ships safely with their beacons. That's why the lighthouse is still a symbol of guidance, hope and homecoming today. This is exactly why it appears so often at christenings, First Communions and confirmations. It also suits farewell parties, anniversaries or simply nautical summer decorations.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the untreated board in a dry place and keep it away from constant moisture. Then it will keep its shape and smooth surface for a long time. For use outdoors or in damp rooms, we recommend a protective coat of paint or varnish.
