Why this cardboard daisy makes a difference in everyday life
A good blank takes care of the tedious part and leaves you the fun part: decorating. Instead of struggling with wonky cut edges, you have an even flower shape in your hands. It doesn't go soggy when you paint it. It doesn't bend when you hang it up. That turns a craft afternoon with children into a relaxed time. And the finished daisy becomes a decoration you'll be happy to show off.
Material & finish
The daisy is made from bookbinding board. This is the sturdy solid board that has always been used for book covers. At 1.2 mm thick and 755 g/m², it feels pleasantly stable in your hand. It warps less than thin card when you stick things on it. The edges are cleanly laser-cut and smooth, so you can work with the cutout right away. Every flower is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia – from 100% recycled material.

How to use the cardboard daisy
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own flower. In the end, a whole bunch of daisies hangs in the window, and everyone is proud of it.
- As a Mother's Day gift: write a personal message on a large daisy. You'll have a gift you decorated yourself that lasts longer than a bunch of flowers.
- For weddings or engagements: use small flowers as place cards or table scatter. Your table looks lovingly decorated without hours of work.
- For money gifts: arrange folded notes on the flower. This turns the envelope into a little surprise in your own handwriting.
- In cafés, bakeries or at market stalls: use labelled daisies as price tags or spring decorations on the counter. They're quick to set up and can be combined in different sizes. When needed, you can simply redecorate them.
Good to know about the daisy
The daisy is the classic fortune-telling flower. Traditionally, people pluck its petals while saying "He loves me, he loves me not". Its name goes back to the Greek word for pearl. No wonder it suits weddings, engagements and Valentine's Day so well as a motif. It also brightens up any spring or birthday decoration.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the daisy in a dry place and protect it from constant moisture. The board will then keep its shape and firmness through many craft projects and celebrations. For outdoor use, we recommend a protective coat of paint or varnish.
