Halloween is just around the corner. The craft table is set with paints and brushes. All you need now is a shape that is clean and symmetrical from the start. That is exactly what this cardboard pentagram is made for. It is a laser-cut cutout made of sturdy bookbinding board. You can paint it, decorate it or simply hang it up as it is. Instead of tracing and cutting it out by hand, you go straight to the fun part.

What changes for you

  • You save yourself the tracing and cutting – because the five-pointed star is already laser-cut with precise, clean lines.
  • Your decoration keeps its shape and colour – thanks to the sturdy solid board. It is 1.2 mm thick and 755 g/m², so it does not warp like thin card.
  • You decorate it just the way you like – because the untreated, smooth surface takes paint, varnish, glue and decoupage.
  • You find exactly the size you need – from 5 to 50 cm wide, selectable in 1 cm steps. From a small hanging tag to wall decoration.
  • You can craft with a clear conscience. The board is made from 100 % recycled material.

Why this cardboard pentagram makes a difference day to day

A ready-made blank takes care of the most tedious step. You can start decorating right away – on your own, with children or in a craft group. Halloween decoration for the window, a mystical motif on the wall or a sturdy template for tracing onto other materials: the even shape means the result looks as neat as the idea in your head.

Material & finish

The solid bookbinding board feels firm in your hand. At 1.2 mm thick, it is stable enough to hang freely or to be used again and again as a stencil. The surface is smooth and untreated, so acrylic paint, varnish and glue adhere reliably. Laser cutting leaves the typical brown edges. They are part of the cutout and can easily be painted over if you like. Every pentagram is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the pentagram

  • Before Halloween: paint several stars black or silver and hang them in the window. Your entrance looks atmospheric without taking much of your time.
  • Crafting with children: every child gets their own star to paint and decorate. The pre-cut shape means everyone ends up with a result they can proudly show off.
  • As a template in your workshop: trace the outline onto wood, fabric or paper. The sturdy board keeps its shape even after many uses.
  • For parties and celebrations: birthdays, parties, engagements or themed evenings – small stars as table scatter, large ones as wall decoration.
  • In a shop or at a market: create seasonal window and counter decoration in exactly the size that fits your space. It is quick to set up, and the sets keep larger quantities affordable.

Good to know about the pentagram

In folk belief, the pentagram – known as the Drudenfuss or witch's foot – was long seen as a protective sign. Painted above doors and stables, it was meant to keep evil spirits away. This old symbolism still makes the five-pointed star a popular motif for Halloween, mystical and fantasy decoration. And that is exactly what this blank is made for.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Store the board dry and flat, and it will keep its shape. Avoid constant moisture and wet conditions. For outdoor use, choose a sheltered spot or varnish the surface.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or decorate the pentagram? Yes, the untreated, smooth surface can be painted, varnished, glued and decorated.

How sturdy is the board? At 1.2 mm thick and 755 g/m², it's a solid board in bookbinding quality – much sturdier than ordinary craft card.

Why are the edges brown? The cutout is laser-cut, which leaves the typical brown cut edges. You can paint over them if you like.

How does the width relate to the height? Width and height are the same: at 10 cm wide, the star is also 10 cm high.

Is the board suitable for outdoor use? Only in sheltered, dry places – untreated board cannot withstand constant moisture. Varnishing makes it more resistant.

This cardboard cutout is the start of an afternoon. A simple shape becomes your own decoration – painted, glued, hung up. Just choose your size and quantity and get started.
