Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The birthday garland is almost done. Only the tags are still missing. Cutting them yourself takes time, the edges go crooked and the holes tear. This card square with rounded corners and two holes one above the other takes care of exactly that step. It is cleanly laser-cut, sturdy and ready to use, made for your craft table. All you do is thread ribbon or cord through and hang it up.
What changes for you
- You skip the cutting and punching. The shape, the rounded corners and both holes are already cleanly laser-cut.
- Your tags hang straight and still instead of twisting. That is thanks to the two holes one above the other, which you thread ribbon or wire through.
- You can design freely, paint, stick things on or varnish. The untreated surface is smooth and takes paint well.
- Your decorations hold up in larger sizes too, without bending. That is thanks to the firm bookbinding board, 1.2 mm thick and 755 g/m².
- You can craft with a clear conscience. The card is made from 100% recycled material.
Why this cardboard square makes a difference in everyday crafting
A wedding garland, name tags for a birthday or tags for Valentine's Day: with ready-made blanks, you start straight away with the fun part of crafting. All squares are the same size and have evenly placed holes. So every piece hangs at the same height and with the same spacing. That works at the window, above the buffet or on a gift. Instead of cutting and measuring, you have time for colour, lettering and ideas.
Material & finish
The squares are made from firm solid board in bookbinding quality. This material has long been used for book covers. It keeps its shape and does not warp easily. The surface is smooth and untreated, so you can stick things on, paint or varnish it. Laser cutting creates precise edges with the typical brown colouring. This suits the natural look of the card. Every square is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the cardboard square
- Before the birthday: paint the squares, stick on letters and join them into a garland with cord through the holes. Your party room instantly has handmade lettering on the wall.
- For a wedding or engagement: write the guests' names on the squares and hang them at each place. Everyone finds their seat, and the tags go home with the guests as a keepsake.
- For a wedding gift of money: tie a decorated square to the gift with ribbon. Your good wishes then have their own place and don't get lost in the wrapping paper.
- For Valentine's Day: write a short message on a square and hang it on the window or door handle. It's a surprise that gets seen before breakfast.
- In a café, at the shop counter or at a market stall: hang up labelled squares as price or variety tags. They are quick to swap and all the same format.
- With children: let them paint the squares and stick things on. The firm card copes with thick layers of paint and stands up to small hands.
Good to know about bookbinding board
Bookbinding board is the classic material for book covers. There it has to stay flat for years and cope with frequent handling. This stability is exactly what makes it so pleasant for crafting. Your tags and labels stay flat, even when paint, glue and ribbon come into play.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Store the squares dry and flat, and they will keep their shape. Avoid constant moisture, as the card is untreated. Used indoors, your decorations will look good for a long time.
