The birthday garland still needs names. The wedding money gift is missing a tag. And the children want to start crafting at last. For moments like these, this cardboard rectangle with rounded corners and a hole at the top is made for your craft table. Simply thread a ribbon through it. Then write on the surface or paint it. And a plain cutout becomes your very own sign, label or decoration.

What changes for you

  • You can hang up your decorations straight away, with no drilling or punching – the hole at the top is already neatly cut.
  • Your paints, pens and glue hold reliably. The untreated surface is smooth, so you can glue, paint, brush or varnish it.
  • You get even, stable results instead of wavy craft card – thanks to 1.2 mm solid board in bookbinding quality.
  • You choose exactly the size your project needs. The width can be ordered from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can plan larger projects with ease. The rectangles come singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.

Why this cardboard rectangle makes a difference in everyday use

Homemade decorations work best when all the pieces look the same and are neatly made. With identically made cutouts, your name tags, tags and garlands look calm and consistent – whether for a wedding, a birthday or an engagement. You focus on designing, not on cutting. And you can see it in the result.

Material & finish

The rectangles are made of firm bookbinding board with a weight of 755 g/m². They feel pleasantly sturdy in your hand. They don't warp as quickly as thin card when you glue things on. The edges are laser cut and show a brown, slightly rustic rim that suits natural decorations. The board is untreated and made from 100 % recycled material. Every rectangle is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia – neatly finished, piece by piece.

How to use the cardboard rectangle

  • Before the wedding: write one rectangle for each guest and hang it on a chair or glass. Everyone finds their seat before you have to explain anything.
  • For a birthday: thread several rectangles into a letter garland. The room looks festive, and you don't need to buy expensive ready-made decorations.
  • For a wedding money gift: a painted rectangle with a personal message on a ribbon. The envelope becomes a gift people remember.
  • At the craft table with children: each child designs their own door sign to hang up. Thanks to the firm board, the result stands up to wild everyday life.
  • In a café, at the market or in a shop: write on the rectangles as price and variety labels and hang them straight onto a shelf or basket. The counter looks tidy, and new labels take only minutes to make.

Good to know about bookbinding board

Bookbinding board gets its name because it is traditionally used for book covers. That's exactly where a material has to stay flat for years and take a lot of wear. This stability also makes it so pleasant for crafting. Your tags and signs stay straight, even when you glue or paint large areas.

Care & durability

There isn't much to do. Store the rectangles dry and flat, and they will stay flat for good. As the board is untreated, protect it from moisture. For outdoor use, you can varnish or paint it first.

Options & what's included

  • Choose any width from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps
  • The height follows a fixed 2:1 ratio (example: 10 cm wide = 5 cm high)
  • Available individually or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100
  • You receive the blank cardboard cutout – ribbons, paints and decorations shown in the product images are not included

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or decorate the cardboard? Yes. You can glue onto the untreated, smooth surface, draw on it, paint it or varnish it.

What is the hole at the top for? Pull a ribbon, string or hook through the hole. This lets you hang the rectangle up directly or thread several into a garland.

How sturdy is the material? The solid board is 1.2 mm thick and weighs 755 g/m². It is much firmer than ordinary craft card and keeps its shape while you work on it.

Why are the edges brown? The rectangles are laser cut, which creates the typical brown edges. Every piece gets a clean, even rim.

Is the material sustainable? Yes. The bookbinding board is made from 100% recycled material and is produced in Thuringia.

This cardboard cutout is made for one moment: when your guests find the name tag you designed at their place – and realise you put thought into it. Just choose your width and quantity. The rest happens at your craft table.
