Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The wedding is getting closer and the gifts are ready. But you still need a base for the tags with your guests' names. This cardboard rectangle with rounded corners and a hole on the left is made for exactly that. Thread a ribbon through the hole. Then write on the smooth surface, paint it or stick things on it. A plain cutout becomes your own sign, gift tag or table decoration. Your craft project starts with decorating, not with cutting.
What changes for you
- You don't have to cut anything out by hand. Every rectangle is cleanly laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. The rounded corners are evenly shaped.
- You can hang up or tie on your finished piece straight away. The hole on the left-hand side is already cut.
- You can decorate freely without anything warping or bending. The sturdy 1.2 mm bookbinding board stays stable when you glue, paint or varnish it.
- You'll find the right size for every project. Choose a width from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can craft with a clear conscience. The untreated solid board is made from 100% recycled material.
Why this cardboard rectangle makes a difference in everyday use
When the blank is already shaped, your time goes into the fun part: decorating. Name tags for a wedding, tags for birthday presents or little greeting cards for Valentine's Day. All pieces are the same size and shape, so they match as a set. Your decorations look calm and well planned, even when you need lots of pieces at once.
Material & finish
The rectangles are made from sturdy solid board in bookbinding quality. This material is known for its density and for holding its shape. The surface is smooth and takes paint, glue and varnish well. The laser-cut brown edges give each piece a neat border that looks tidy even without further work. The board is untreated, so you decide how your cutout will look in the end. Every rectangle is carefully made in Thuringia.

How to use the cardboard rectangle
- For a wedding: write a guest's name on each rectangle and tie it to a chair or napkin. Your seating plan doubles as decoration.
- For a birthday: a tag you made yourself on the present instead of a shop-bought card. The parcel shows a handmade message or drawing before anyone opens it.
- Crafting with children: paint it, stick things on, thread a ribbon through the hole. The finished picture is hanging in the window the same afternoon.
- In a café or at a market stall: write prices or product names on the rectangles and hang them on baskets and shelves. Your goods are clearly labelled. When your range changes, you simply swap the sign.
- For Valentine's Day or an engagement: a short message on the tag, a ribbon through the hole. A small gift becomes a keepsake.
Good to know about bookbinding board
Bookbinding board is traditionally used for book covers. That is exactly where a material has to stay stable and flat for years. You benefit from this strength when decorating. Your tags and signs keep their shape, even when they are glued, painted or handled often.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Just store the untreated board in a dry place and protect it from lasting damp. The surface and edges will stay in good condition for a long time. You can even use leftover pieces for your next project.
