Material & finish
The disc is made from firm solid board in bookbinding quality. It is 1.2 mm thick with a weight of 755 g/m². It feels sturdy in your hand and copes with heavier painting, brushing or varnishing. The surface is smooth and untreated, so paint and glue stick well. The disc is laser-cut, so the edges have the typical brown rim. This is a sign of clean processing. Every disc is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the cardboard disc
- Before the wedding: write on one disc per place and thread a ribbon through the holes. Every guest finds their seat at a table that looks lovingly prepared.
- For a birthday: the children paint their own discs and hang them up as a garland. The decorations are done before the cake comes out of the oven.
- For Valentine's Day or an engagement: make a large tag shaped like a giant button with a personal message. It stays on the gift longer than the card.
- In a shop or café: label discs as price tags or notices and hang them on a shelf or counter. They're quick to swap when your range changes.
- For a market stall or seasonal decorations: large discs up to 50 cm become the base for wreaths and hanging decorations. They're quick to set up and display your goods in an orderly way.
Good to know about bookbinding board
Bookbinding board is traditionally used for book covers. That's exactly where material has to stay firm and keep its shape. You benefit from this when crafting too. The disc copes with paint, glue and ribbon without bending easily. That makes it suitable for decorations that will hang for a long time.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the untreated board in a dry place and protect it from lasting damp. Then it keeps its shape and stability. If you want it to be more resistant, you can paint or varnish it.
