Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The first Sunday of Advent is just around the corner. The children want to do some crafts. All you need to do is paint it, decorate it or hang it up. It's just right for your craft afternoon. In a short time, a grey cutout becomes your very own Christmas decoration.
What changes for you
- You start decorating straight away instead of cutting out – because the fir tree arrives already laser-cut with smooth edges.
- Your paints, glue and pens stay put – thanks to the sturdy 1.2 mm bookbinding board. You can paint it, varnish it and stick things to it.
- You'll find the right size for every idea – from 3 cm for table scatter to 50 cm for window decorations, selectable in 1 cm steps.
- You can craft with a clear conscience. The board is made from 100% recycled material.
- Your project keeps its shape – because the 755 g/m² solid board is much sturdier than normal craft paper. It doesn't warp like thin card.
Why this cardboard fir tree makes a difference day to day
Shapes you cut out yourself quickly turn out uneven. Thin paper creases when you hang it up. With a cleanly laser-cut shape, your garland, window picture and advent calendar look even and well planned. That's true even when lots of little hands have helped. You get a simple, modern fir tree motif. It works plain in natural grey and just as well decorated in bright colours.
Material & finish
The fir tree is made from bookbinding board. This is the solid board also used for book covers. You'll notice how sturdy it feels straight away. It doesn't warp when you paint it. It holds decorations made from felt, glitter or natural materials securely. The laser-cut edges are smooth and clean, so children can work with it safely. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia – from 100% recycled material.

How to use the cardboard fir tree
- Christmas crafts with children: Each child gets a fir tree, paints and glue. At the end, a row of little works of art hangs in the window, and everyone is proud of them.
- For an advent calendar: Write on 24 small fir trees, number them and hang them on a string. Your calendar is ready, and you can enjoy it again every year.
- Making Christmas cards: Stick the small sizes on as a motif or use them as a stencil. Your cards get a third dimension you can feel.
- On the dinner table: Put a fir tree at each place with a name written on it. Your guests find their seat and get a small keepsake at the same time.
- In the café, bakery or at your market stall: Use large fir trees in the shop window and small ones as price tags or table scatter on the counter. Your Christmas decorations are up in just a few minutes.
Good to know about the fir tree
The fir tree has stood for the Christmas season for centuries. As an evergreen, it was seen early on as a sign of constancy and hope in winter. That's exactly why the motif has so many uses. It suits an advent calendar as well as a window, gift wrapping or a garland above the shop counter.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the cardboard somewhere dry and it will keep its shape for many years. Avoid moisture and water, as untreated cardboard absorbs water. Indoors, away from the weather, the fir tree is a reliable companion you can bring out again every season.
