Your craft idea is ready and the paints are laid out. All you need now is a blank that plays along. This cardboard triskelion is made for exactly that – and for your craft table. It is a ready laser-cut triskele made of sturdy bookbinding board. You can paint it, cover it or decorate it however you like. That way a Celtic symbol becomes your own decoration – for the wall, the festive table or as a gift.

What changes for you

  • You can start crafting and decorating straight away – because the triskele arrives cleanly laser-cut and ready to use.
  • Your shape keeps its form while you paint and glue instead of warping – thanks to 1.2 mm thick solid board at 755 g/m².
  • You get exactly the size that suits your project – from 5 to 50 cm wide, selectable in 1 cm steps.
  • You can craft with a clear conscience – the bookbinding board is made from 100% recycled material.
  • You can plan larger projects or crafting with children without reordering – with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.

Why this cardboard triskele makes a difference in everyday use

A ready-made shape takes the tedious part off your hands: no drawing, no cutting out delicate spirals, no offcuts. You can focus on the fun part – designing. And because the shape is already right, the result looks neat. That holds even when lots of hands are helping or time is short.

Material & finish

The triskele is made of solid board in bookbinding quality. It is a firm material that keeps its shape. It feels noticeably stiffer and heavier than thin craft card. The surface is smooth and untreated, so it takes paint, varnish and glue well. The laser-cut edges are brown and cleanly finished, so even fine contours come out clearly. Every piece is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the triskelion

  • Crafting with children: Each child paints their own triskele. In the end, a colourful collection hangs in the window – and everyone is proud of it.
  • For a wedding or engagement: Painted in gold or your celebration colours, the symbol becomes table decoration or a tag on a guest favour.
  • For birthdays, parties or Valentine's Day: Combine several sizes to make a garland or wall decoration that exists only once.
  • In the shop or at the weekly market: Use it in your window or counter display. It is quick to set up and easy to redo in the next season's colour.
  • As a template for drawing and stencilling: Simply trace around the outline – and you can transfer the motif onto paper, fabric or a wall.

Good to know about the triskelion

The triskelion – also called a triskele – is an ancient symbol of three connected spirals. It is known from Celtic culture, among others. It often stands for the cycle of becoming, being and passing away. That is why it suits special occasions such as weddings, engagements or anniversaries. It makes a decoration with a meaning that reaches beyond the moment.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Store the untreated board in a dry place and keep it away from lasting moisture. That way it keeps its shape for a long time. Once painted or varnished, the surface is also less sensitive.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the triskelion or stick things onto it? Yes. The smooth, untreated surface can be covered, painted or varnished and takes paint well.

Is the board sturdy enough for delicate projects? Yes. The 1.2 mm bookbinding board at 755 g/m² keeps its shape and is much firmer than ordinary craft card.

Why are the edges brown? The contours are laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edges, which give the motif a clear, clean line.

Is the height the same as the selected width? Not quite: at a width of 10 cm, the height is 9.5 cm. This ratio applies to all sizes.

A cardboard cutout is only the starting point. What counts is the moment your own triskele lies finished in front of you. It looks exactly the way you imagined it. Simply choose your size and quantity – and get started.
