The craft afternoon is planned and the paints are ready. All that's missing is a sturdy base that won't warp and keeps its shape. That's exactly what this square made of 1.2 mm bookbinding board is for. It's a firm cutout with a smooth surface and sharp corners, cut to suit your next project. Simply choose your size between 3x3 cm and 50x50 cm and get started.

What changes for you

  • You can glue, paint or varnish straight away without anything warping. That's because the solid board at 755 g/m² is much sturdier than ordinary craft card.
  • Your place cards and signs look neat and accurate to size. That's thanks to the laser-cut edges, which are clean and precise.
  • You'll find the right size for every project without having to cut it yourself. You can choose square sizes from 3 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can craft with a clear conscience. The board is made from 100% recycled material and produced in Germany.
  • For bigger projects, you save yourself reordering. The cutouts are available individually or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.

Why this cardboard square makes a difference day to day

If you want to make or decorate a square, you'll soon notice one thing. With thin paper, a good idea often ends up wavy. With a firm cutout that keeps its shape, decorations, lettering and model making turn out steadier and more even first time. You focus on creating – the base is already right.

Material & finish

The bookbinding board has a smooth surface that takes paint, varnish and glue well. Your design sits evenly and doesn't press through. Laser cutting gives exact dimensions and smooth edges. The dark edges it creates are part of the cutting process. They give the cutout a clean, finished border. Every square is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the cardboard square

  • Before the wedding: you write on small squares and use them as place cards. Every seat looks lovingly prepared before the guests sit down.
  • At the craft table with children: paint, stick on, stamp. The firm board stands up to eager hands. The results can be proudly put on display.
  • For birthdays, parties or Valentine's Day: combine several sizes into a garland or wall decoration that makes the room festive.
  • In model making: the accurately sized cutouts serve as a base plate. Your construction stands straight and stable from the start.
  • In a café or at a market stall: you make your own price tags and small notice boards. They're uniform in size, quick to swap and neatly displayed.

Good to know about bookbinding board

Bookbinding board gets its name because it's traditionally used for book covers. That's exactly where a material has to stay firm and flat for years. This stability also makes it so pleasant to craft with. What you make today will still hang or stand straight later on.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. Store the untreated cutouts somewhere dry and flat, and they'll stay flat for good. Avoid damp and wet conditions. That way the board keeps its smooth surface and firm shape.
