Why this cardboard Santa makes a difference in everyday life
Homemade Christmas decorations say more than shop-bought ones. In the window, on the Advent calendar or on the set table, you can see that someone made them with care. The clear shape gives you a reliable starting point. You only need to decorate, not design. An afternoon of Christmas crafts with children gives you decorations for the whole of Advent.
Material & finish
The solid bookbinder's board feels sturdy in your hand. The finish is clean: a smooth surface, precise laser-cut outlines and the typical brown edges. Because the board is untreated, it takes acrylic paint, watercolour, glue and varnish well. You decorate the figure to suit your home. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the cardboard Father Christmas
- Crafting with children: everyone gets a figure and makes their own Father Christmas. At the end, a little family gallery hangs in the window.
- On the Advent calendar: use small figures as number tags or door decorations. Opening a door each day becomes a little more festive.
- On the festive table: put a painted Father Christmas at each place, perhaps with a name written on it. Your guests find their seat and take a keepsake home.
- In the shop window or on the counter: the larger figures up to 50 cm let you decorate a bakery, café or market stall quickly and consistently. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 also cover several branches or promotions.
- As a gift tag or card: a small figure on the parcel replaces the name tag. Even the wrapping becomes a Christmas decoration idea.
Good to know about Santa
Father Christmas goes back to Saint Nicholas of Myra. He was honoured as a bringer of gifts as early as the Middle Ages. That's why the motif isn't just for Christmas Eve. It suits the whole of Advent, from St Nicholas' Day to the Advent calendar and Christmas window decorations.
Care & durability
There's not much to do. Store the figure in a dry place and protect it from lasting moisture, as the board is untreated. Your Father Christmas then keeps its shape and can come out again next year.
