Why this cardboard poinsettia makes a difference in everyday life
Decorations you make yourself make Advent personal. Instead of putting out ready-made items, you create something of your own at your table. Use paint or glitter, or keep it simple and natural. The clear flower shape with its even points looks calm. It works on its own in the window or in groups on a branch. A simple cutout becomes a small ritual you can repeat every year.
Material & finish
The silhouette is laser-cut from 1.2 mm bookbinding board. This solid board weighs 755 g/m². It feels sturdy and doesn't warp easily while you work on it. The surface is smooth and untreated, so paint, glue and varnish adhere well. The brown edges are created by the laser. They give each poinsettia its typical, cleanly defined outline. The cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. It is neatly finished and made from 100% recycled material.

How to use the Christmas star
- Christmas crafts with children: each child paints their own poinsettia. In the end, a small gallery hangs in the window that everyone is proud of.
- On the Advent table: scatter a few small poinsettias between plates and candles. The table looks festive straight away, with little effort.
- On a branch or Advent arrangement: hang the poinsettia on a thin ribbon. It becomes an ornament you can reuse every year.
- For Christmas cards and gifts: stick on small poinsettias or tie them to the gift ribbon. Even a simply wrapped parcel gets an individual look.
- In cafés, bakeries or at market stalls: larger poinsettias in the shop window or on the counter give you seasonal decoration in a few minutes. With a set of 25, 50 or 100, you have enough for the whole of Advent.
Good to know about the Christmas star
The poinsettia originally comes from Mexico. It arrived in Europe in the 19th century. Its bright bracts made it the classic flower of Advent. The laser-cut silhouette takes up exactly this flower shape. That's why it fits so naturally with Advent, Christmas and winter table decorations.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Simply store the poinsettias somewhere dry, and you can bring them out again year after year. Avoid prolonged moisture, as the cardboard is untreated. This way the shape and smooth surface last a long time.
