- You can craft with a clear conscience. The board is made from 100% recycled material and produced in Thuringia.
Why these cardboard clouds make a difference
Shop-bought decorations often look the same everywhere. Clouds you design yourself tell your own story. Hang them as a mobile above the changing table. Use them as a photo backdrop for a birthday. Or let them carry lettering for an engagement. You decide on the colour, the lettering and the arrangement. The room then has exactly the mood you pictured. All the clouds have the same shape. So the result looks calm and consistent, even if you combine lots of sizes.
Material & finish
The clouds are made from solid board in bookbinding quality. This is the sturdy material traditionally used for book covers. The surface is smooth, so paint, pens and glue stick well. Laser cutting leaves the edges brown and gives every cutout a clean, clearly defined outline. Because the board is untreated, it reliably takes acrylic, watercolour or varnish. The clouds are made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. They are made from 100% recycled material.

How to use the cardboard clouds
- Crafting with children: paint the clouds, stick cotton wool on them and hang them up. Now a homemade sky floats above the cot.
- For a wedding or engagement: each cloud carries a name or a wish. The single cutouts become a personalised garland for the happy couple.
- For a birthday: one large cloud with a number, small clouds around it. In just a few minutes, the gift table has a clear centrepiece.
- For Valentine's Day: a cloud with a message as a gift tag. Your message arrives before the present is even unwrapped.
- In a shop window or shop: hang clouds in several sizes at different heights. Your seasonal display is quick to put up, light and easy to take down again.
Good to know about the cloud
When you're in love or simply very happy, you're said to be "on cloud nine". In German, people say "on cloud seven". The saying goes back to old ideas of the seventh heaven as the highest place of happiness. That's why the cloud motif suits weddings, engagements and Valentine's Day so well. It also suits any occasion centred on dreams and wishes, from a baby shower to the first day at school.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the untreated board in a dry place and keep it away from lasting damp. Then it keeps its shape and stiffness. Once designed and hung up indoors, your decorations will last a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the clouds? Yes. The board is untreated and has a smooth surface. You can glue things on, paint, coat or varnish it.
Why are the edges brown? The clouds are laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edges. They are a feature of the process, which gives a clean, precise shape.
Are the clouds suitable for outdoor use? The board is untreated and should be protected from moisture. It is ideal for indoor use and for dry, sheltered spots.
How sturdy is the material? At 1.2 mm thick and 755 g/m², it is sturdy solid board in bookbinding quality. It hangs straight and doesn't warp easily while you decorate it.
Picture the moment your guests walk into the room. Above the table float the very clouds you designed for this day. Simply choose the size and quantity. You'll do the rest.
