Why this cardboard cedar cone makes a difference every day

Hang them on a branch, in the window or as a garland over the door. Step by step, a calm, natural winter mood comes into your home. And it takes little effort.
Material & finish
The solid bookbinding board has a smooth surface that feels pleasant in your hand. It takes paint evenly. You can stick things on it, paint it or varnish it. Each piece is laser-cut in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. This gives precise outlines and the typical brown edges. They give the cone a warm, natural look. The board is untreated, so you start with a neutral surface and design it just the way you like.

How to use the cedar cone
- During Advent: paint small cones, attach a ribbon and hang them on a branch. Your windowsill tells of winter before the first snow falls.
- Crafting with children: each child designs their own cone. At the end, they proudly take home a piece of Christmas decoration they made themselves.
- On a present: a small cone as a gift tag on the parcel. Your present looks lovingly wrapped, with no expensive extras.
- For a wedding, engagement or winter party: several cones as a garland or place cards. Your table gets a consistent, natural style.
- In a café, shop or at the market: large cones up to 50 cm in the shop window or on the counter. Your winter decorations are up in a few minutes. You can reuse the design year after year.
Good to know about cones
Real cones open their scales in dry air and close them when it's damp. So cones gathered outdoors change over time. The cardboard cone silhouette keeps its shape. It can be stored flat and is ready to use again next winter. Ideal if you want your decorations to look the same every year.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the cones flat and dry, and they will keep their shape for many seasons. As the board is untreated, avoid long-term damp. If you want a more durable surface, you can paint or varnish it.
