The craft table is set and the idea is ready – all that's missing is the right material: straight, sturdy strips that do exactly what you want. These card strips made from 1.2 mm thick bookbinding board are just right for your next project: 100 cm long, available in widths from 1 to 10 cm and cleanly laser-cut. So you can get straight on with crafting instead of painstakingly cutting straight strips first.

What changes for you

  • You work with clean, straight edges right from the start – because every strip is precisely laser-cut.
  • You get exactly the width your project needs – with widths from 1 to 10 cm in 1 cm steps, and even made to your exact size down to the millimetre on request.
  • You can design freely to suit your idea – the untreated bookbinding board can be glued, decorated and painted.
  • You can adapt every strip without special tools – it's easy to cut further, fold and glue.
  • You always have plenty for bigger projects – with sets of 10 to 500 pieces, you won't need to reorder halfway through.

Why these card strips make a difference every day

Anyone who crafts knows the difference between cardboard cut to size somehow or other and a material you can rely on. Even, rigid strips give you straight edges, neat frames and sturdy constructions – and in the end your result looks as well thought out as your idea. Instead of spending time cutting, you can put it where the fun is: into creating.

Material & finish

The strips are made from 1.2 mm thick bookbinding board. It feels firm in your hand and is still easy to work with. Laser cutting gives clean, smooth edges with no tearing. Nothing frays or crumbles. The surface is untreated. It takes paint and glue well, so you can finish it however you like. The cardboard strips are made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

  • In model making: build walls, beams and foundations from rigid card – the even 1.2 mm thickness makes constructions predictable.
  • For crafting money gifts: turn the strips into boxes, frames and small packaging that present your gift with love.

Good to know about bookbinding board

Bookbinding board is the classic material for book covers – valued because it stays rigid and can be cleanly cut, laminated and covered. These are exactly the qualities that make it so popular for crafting and model making too: whatever you build with it keeps its shape.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do: store the strips dry and flat, and they'll stay straight and rigid. Avoid prolonged damp – as with any paper-based material.

Sellers in such a situation are required to offer free repair or free replacement; in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement. Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.
