Why this wooden lucky pig makes a difference
Shop-bought greeting cards and small gifts can easily feel interchangeable. A handmade detail doesn't. With the pink wooden pigs, you can make cards, money gifts and table decorations yourself. You won't need to spend hours crafting. The natural wood and the bright colour mean your decorations won't look mass-produced. Instead, they look like a moment prepared with care.
Material & finish
The lucky pigs are made of 3 mm poplar plywood and feel pleasantly light in your hand. Laser cutting gives them smooth, precise edges. It also leaves the typical brown edge that frames the pink surface. The glaze on the front is durable. Depending on the light, the wood grain or small knots may show through. This is not a flaw. It's the sign of a genuine natural material, and every piece is unique. The back is left natural, so you can easily stick things on it or decorate it yourself. They are made in Thuringia, Germany.

Good to know about the lucky pig
In German-speaking countries, the pig has been a symbol of prosperity and luck for centuries. In the past, anyone who owned a pig was well provided for. Even today, Germans say “Schwein gehabt” (literally "had a pig") when someone has been lucky. That's why the lucky pig is part of New Year's Eve and New Year. It's just as suitable for exams, moving house and any occasion when you want to wish someone luck.

Frequently asked questions
Does the pink glaze meet toy safety standards? Yes, it meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3. That includes crafting with children.
Are both sides pink? No, only the front is glazed. The back is natural and untreated. It's ideal for sticking on or painting.
Why does the grain show through on some pigs? Wood is a natural material with varying textures, shades and small knots. Depending on the light, the grain stays visible. That's exactly what makes every piece unique.
Where does the brown edge come from? It's created during laser cutting and is part of the design. Laser cutting also gives the pieces smooth, precise edges.
