The pistachio is made from 3 mm thick high-density fibreboard (HDF/MDF). The laser cut gives smooth edges that don't fray. They feel pleasant to touch and give a clean result. The surface is left natural. It takes paint, glue and napkin decoupage well. Good to know: fibreboard always shows varying textures. Some fibres are lighter, some darker, and small impurities can occur. This makes every piece one of a kind. It is not a defect. Each cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the pistachio
