The puzzle pieces are made from 3 mm birch plywood. We flame-treat it ourselves in our own production in Pößneck. This creates the rustic look, with the wood grain standing out darker. The clear, satin, water-based lacquer is applied on both sides. It protects the surface and feels pleasantly smooth. Laser cutting gives clean, accurate edges that fit together exactly. Good to know: wood is a purely natural material. Shade, grain and small knots differ on every piece. That makes each puzzle piece one of a kind – no two are the same.
