We lacquer the raw boards in colour on both sides ourselves at Bütic in Pößneck. On top comes a clear, satin, water-based lacquer that lets the wood grain show through. Wood is a purely natural material. Different shades, fine textures and small knots are normal. They make every piece one of a kind and are not a defect.
