Birch plywood puzzle piece – orange lacquered, 3–50 cm

You're at the craft table and the idea is ready. A garland for the nursery, a wedding guest book, a shop window display. All that's missing is a wooden puzzle piece you can use straight away. This orange lacquered wooden cutout in 3mm birch plywood is made for your next DIY project. Just choose your size and off you go.

What changes for you

• You can get started right away, with no priming or painting. Every puzzle piece arrives lacquered in colour on both sides.
• You get exactly the size your project needs. Choose from 3 to 50cm in 1cm steps, singly or in a set.
• Your decorations look neat and well thought out. The laser-cut edges are smooth, and the pieces are cut to size with no finishing needed.
• Despite the colour, you're holding real wood. The satin-matt, water-based lacquer lets the grain and small knots show through. So every piece is one of a kind.
• You can plan larger activities without stress. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 give you enough pieces for class projects, team events or shop decorations.

Why this puzzle piece makes a difference every day

A puzzle piece tells a small story on its own. It's about fitting together, belonging and the bigger picture. When you decorate or craft with it, you create more than a colourful surface. Your guests, children or customers get the message at first glance. And because the warm wood surface stays visible under the bold orange, the result looks natural rather than artificial.

Material & finish

Every puzzle piece comes from our own production in Pößneck. We lacquer the raw birch plywood sheets in colour on both sides ourselves. Then we cut the shape by laser. This gives smooth edges and clean, precise results. The satin-matt, water-based lacquer lets the wood grain show. Good to know: wood is a purely natural material. Its shade varies. Sometimes it has a livelier grain, sometimes small knots. This isn't a flaw. It's exactly what makes every piece one of a kind.

How to use the puzzle piece

• Crafting with children: each child decorates one piece. In the end, a shared picture hangs in the group room, and everyone has contributed to it.
• For a wedding or a milestone birthday: guests write their wishes on individual puzzle pieces. This gives you a keepsake instead of a guest book that disappears into a drawer.
• In the nursery or hallway: combine several sizes on the wall. The orange lacquer adds a bold spot of colour, while the light birch plywood on the back balances it out.
• In a café, shop or at a market stall: use puzzle pieces as a theme for the shop window or counter display. They're quick to arrange and last a long time. The set sizes also make it easy to plan large areas.
• For team events and school projects: with the set of 50 or 100, everyone gets their own piece. The finished puzzle shows what teamwork means.

Good to know about puzzles

The jigsaw puzzle dates back to the 18th century. London mapmaker John Spilsbury mounted maps on wood and cut them up so children could learn geography through play. To this day, a single puzzle piece stands for togetherness and for everyone being part of a whole. That's why it works so well for guest book alternatives, farewell gifts from colleagues or group projects in nurseries and schools.

Frequently asked questions

Are the height and width the same? Yes. If you choose a height of 10 cm, for example, the width is also 10 cm.

Why do the puzzle pieces look slightly different? Birch plywood is a natural material. Grain, shade and small knots vary and stay visible under the satin-matt lacquer. This makes every piece one of a kind.

Do I need to sand the edges? No. The pieces are laser-cut and arrive with smooth, accurately sized edges.

Can I order larger quantities? Yes. Besides single pieces, there are sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100. They're ideal for group projects or shop decorations, for example.

This is more than a piece of lacquered birch plywood. It's for the moment when many single pieces become one shared picture. On the wall, in the guest book or in the shop window. Just choose your size and quantity. You design the rest.
