Wooden puzzle piece – wooden cutout Rum, 3–50 cm

Maybe you're planning a DIY project with your children. Maybe you want a special idea for a wedding guest book. Or you'd like to decorate your wall and shelf with something of your own. For that you need a blank that looks finished before you even start. This puzzle piece in 3mm birch plywood, in the warm shade Rum, is just that kind of wooden cutout. It is varnished on both sides, smooth and cut to size – made for your craft table. No sanding, no priming. You can start creating right away.

What changes for you

• You can paint, decorate or write on it straight away, with no preparation. That's because the puzzle piece has a water-based satin varnish on both sides.
• Your decoration looks warm and natural rather than artificial. The reddish-brown shade Rum lets the grain and small knots show through.
• You get exactly the size your project needs. Choose from 3 to 50cm in 1cm steps.
• You get clean, smooth edges that don't fray or splinter. Every piece is precisely laser cut.
• No need for lots of separate orders for bigger projects. The puzzle piece comes singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.

Why this puzzle piece makes a difference every day

A name sign on the nursery door, a guest book alternative at a wedding or a motif on the wall: with a ready-varnished wooden cutout, you start where preparation would normally begin. Instead of getting materials ready, you create. And in the end, something hangs on your wall, door or shelf that truly comes from you. The warm brown sits quietly in your home without taking over.

Material & finish

The puzzle piece is made from 3mm birch plywood. It is laser cut and varnished in colour on both sides in our own production in Pößneck. The colourless, water-based satin varnish lets the wood grain and small knots show through. The surface feels smooth yet tactile, and every piece is clearly a piece of nature. Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness, texture and grain always vary a little. That makes every puzzle piece unique – it is not a defect.

Good to know about the puzzle piece

Few shapes stand for togetherness like the puzzle piece. Only when all the pieces fit together does a whole emerge. That's why it's popular for wedding guest books, farewell gifts from colleagues and group projects at school or in clubs. Everyone designs one piece, and together they form a picture.

There's not much to do. Simply wipe off dust with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid constant moisture – wood is a natural material. That way the satin varnished surface keeps its warm, even look for a long time.
