Material & finish

The puzzle piece is laser-cut from 3 mm birch plywood. This gives clean, smooth edges and shapes that are accurate to size, with no finishing work needed. We lacquer the raw boards in colour on both sides ourselves, in our own production in Pößneck. On top comes a clear, satin-matt water-based lacquer. It lets the natural wood grain and small knots show through. Wood is a purely natural material. These differences in texture and shade make each piece unique – they are not a flaw.
