At Bütic, we lacquer the raw sheets yellow on both sides ourselves. On top is a clear, satin-matt water-based lacquer that keeps the grain and small knots visible. Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness and texture vary from piece to piece, and small knots are part of it. This makes every square unique and is not a flaw. Each piece comes from our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

There isn't much to do. Simply dust them now and then with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged moisture. The lacquered surface will then keep its even colour and satin-matt sheen for a long time.
