We lacquer the raw boards on both sides in Chestnut ourselves, in Bütic's own production in Pößneck. The water-based satin lacquer leaves the grain and small knots visible. Wood is a purely natural material. Its shade varies, and it shows more texture in some places than others. That is exactly what makes each square one of a kind. It is not a flaw. It is simply what real wood is like.
