The square is made of 3 mm birch plywood and produced in our own production in Pößneck. We lacquer the raw boards ourselves on both sides. The satin-matt water-based lacquer lets the natural wood grain and small knots show through. Wood is a natural material. Every board has a different lightness, the grain varies and small inclusions are part of it. This makes every square unique. It is not a flaw, it is the nature of wood. The laser cut gives smooth edges and accurate shapes.
