Material & finish

The square is made from 3 mm birch plywood in our own production in Pößneck. We lacquer the raw boards ourselves on both sides in dark walnut. The water-based satin lacquer lets the grain and small knots show through. These natural features are not flaws. They make each piece unique – wood is never completely even, sometimes a little lighter, sometimes a little darker. Laser cutting gives smooth, accurate edges and a clean finish.

How to use your wooden square

Good to know about birch plywood

Birch plywood consists of several veneer layers glued crosswise. This keeps the board stable and resistant to warping, even though it is only 3 mm thin. That is why the cutout is so good for gluing, painting and lettering. The surface stays flat, and your decoration holds reliably.

Care & durability

There is not much to do. Dust it now and then, or wipe it with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid lasting moisture, as wood is a natural material. That way the satin surface stays looking good for a long time.
