Two coats of water-based clear varnish protect the anthracite surface. They also give you a smooth writing surface. Every board is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, and neatly finished. Wood is a natural material. Small knots and variations in the grain are part of it and make every piece one of a kind. This is not a defect. The grain can run horizontally or vertically. Plywood consists of several veneer layers glued crosswise. This makes it remarkably stable even when thin. It also warps much less than solid wood. That's why the board, only 3 mm thick, works so well for daily use. It's light enough to carry for hours in service. And it's firm enough to write on while standing.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Simply wipe the varnished surface with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaning products. That way the board keeps its smooth surface and even anthracite look for a long time.
