Material & finish

The board is made in our own production in Pößneck from 3 mm birch plywood. It is very sturdy and robust, yet pleasantly light in the hand. Two coats of water-based clear lacquer protect the surface in daily use. The clean finish with rounded corners sits comfortably in your hand. Birch is a purely natural material. Variations in shade, small knots and fine structures in the grain are part of it. They make every board one of a kind and are not a defect. The grain can run horizontally or vertically. If you wish, we can agree the direction with you in advance.

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several veneer layers glued crosswise. This is exactly what makes it stable and strong, even though the board is only 3 mm thick. That's why the board stays flat and light, even with daily use in service or on stage.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Thanks to the clear lacquer seal, a slightly damp cloth is enough to wipe it clean. Avoid prolonged moisture and harsh cleaning products. That way the birch wood keeps its light, natural look for a long time.
