The dining room is filling up and the first orders are coming in. You need a hand free, but your notes and lists still have to stay in place. That is exactly what the Gastro ring binder board in dark pink is made for. It is a sturdy birch plywood board with a silver ring binder mechanism. It holds your menu, checklist or order pad securely. You can write standing up and turn the pages. After work, you simply hang the board on a hook. Nothing flies away.

What changes for you

  • You can write comfortably standing up. The 3 mm birch plywood gives you a firm, portable writing surface that does not bend.
  • Your pages stay where they belong and can still be turned. The ring binder mechanism holds the sheets securely, just like in a ring binder.
  • You always have a firm grip on the board, or you can put it away quickly. The grip hole is for holding and for hanging.
  • The dark pink colour stands out clearly on any table and at any counter. It also gives you a consistent look.
  • You order exactly the format you need: A3, A4 or A5, each available in portrait or landscape.

Why this ring binder board makes a difference every day

Loose notes, creased menus, misplaced checklists – in the rush, things easily get lost. With a fixed place for your papers, service runs more calmly. Your guests hold a neatly presented menu. At the lectern or in the studio, you turn the pages of your script without a page falling out. A small piece of order that you notice every day.

Material & finish

The board is made from 3 mm birch plywood. This makes it stable and robust, yet pleasantly light in the hand. The surface is sealed with two coats of durable water-based clear lacquer. This makes it well suited to daily use in catering, the office and at home. The clean finish with a wave shape and rounded corners sits well in the hand. Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary from board to board. This makes every piece one of a kind. The ring binder board is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use your ring binder board

  • In a restaurant or café: Put the menu in the binder and place it on the table. Your guests can leave through it easily, and the menu keeps its shape even after passing through many hands.
  • In service or catering: Order lists and daily schedules stay firmly on the board. You walk through the room with one hand and tick things off with the other.
  • In the workshop: Checklists and job sheets hang on the hook, ready to hand. No more searching between the workbench and the office.
  • On stage, at rehearsals or at the lectern: Simply file your script, presenter notes or speech and turn the pages. No page slips out, and you stay in the flow.
  • At home or in the office: Use it as a writing surface for notes, shopping lists or recipes. Everything is in one place and nothing gets lost.

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made from several thin layers of wood glued together crosswise. This makes the material much more dimensionally stable and less prone to warping than a solid wood board of the same thickness. That is why birch plywood works so well for a writing board that is picked up, written on and hung up every day.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Thanks to the two coats of clear lacquer, you just wipe the board with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaners. This way, the surface keeps its smooth, colourful look for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Is the ring binder mechanism included? Yes, every board comes with the mechanism that matches the chosen format. It is a 2-ring or 4-ring version with an inner Ø of 19.5 mm and a capacity of 11.5 mm.

Can I choose between portrait and landscape? Yes, all three sizes (A3, A4, A5) are available in portrait or landscape.

Does the grain always run in the same direction? The grain can run horizontally or vertically. We optimise our cutouts to avoid waste. A preferred direction is possible by arrangement – just send us a short message.

Why does every board look slightly different? Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary. This is not a flaw. It makes your board one of a kind.

Can the board be personalised? Yes, on request we add your logo engraving or a text – just get in touch.

In a full dining room, everything has its place. The menu is on the table, the list is in your hand, and your mind is free for your guests. Just choose your format, and the board is ready for its next shift.
