The lunchtime rush begins, the first guests take their seats – and the menu sits neatly bound on a ring binder board in a dark oak wood effect, right there on the table. No loose pages, no crumpled printouts: the sheets are held in the silver ring binder mechanism and turn smoothly. Whether as a menu holder in a restaurant, a writing board at your desk or a script holder at the lectern – this board feels made for places where paper needs to stay tidy and within easy reach.

What changes for you

  • Your menu or script stays complete and in order – because every page is held in the ring binder mechanism and nothing falls out as you turn the pages.
  • You can hold the board securely or hang it on the wall in seconds – thanks to the finger hole, which works both as a grip and for hanging.
  • Your table, counter or desk looks tidier. The dark oak wood look suits rustic and modern interiors alike.
  • You can write on a firm surface, even standing up – because the 3 mm birch plywood stays rigid and gives notepads, order pads and checklists a secure hold.
  • Your board copes with everyday use in hospitality and the office – because the surface is sealed with two coats of hard-wearing water-based clear lacquer.

Why this ring binder board makes a difference every day

Loose sheets, creased menus and stray notes cost time and look messy. A sturdy board with a ring binder mechanism gives your paper a clear place. Guests can leaf through the menu at their leisure. You can present or read from the lectern without losing your place. The dark oak tone with its even grain suits wooden furniture just as well as modern interiors.

Material & finish

The board is made from 3 mm birch plywood. It is thin enough to sit lightly in your hand, yet very stable and robust. The surface is sealed twice with a hard-wearing water-based clear lacquer. This makes it resistant to everyday use. Every ring binder board is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, and carefully finished. Wood is a natural material. Colour and grain vary, and small knots may occur. This makes every piece one of a kind. The grain can run horizontally or vertically. If you prefer a particular direction, just get in touch with us. On request, we can also engrave your logo or a text on the board. Simply send us a message.

How to use your ring binder board

  • In a restaurant or café: you insert the current menu – your guests can browse comfortably, and when the menu changes, you simply swap the pages rather than the whole holder.
  • At a hotel reception: house information and price lists are bound and neatly to hand, with no loose sheets.
  • In the office and at home: as a writing surface and writing board, it gives you a firm base for notes, order pads and checklists – even when standing or moving around the house.
  • On stage, in the studio or at the lectern: your script, presenter notes or speech are bound, you turn the page – and not a single sheet drifts to the floor.
  • In the workshop: thanks to the finger hole, work lists and checklists hang on a hook. They are right to hand whenever you need them.

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several thin layers of wood glued together crosswise – which makes it more dimensionally stable and less prone to warping than a solid wood board of the same thickness. That is exactly why this ring binder board can be so light at just 3 mm thick and still stand up to being handled by many hands every day in hospitality and the office.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do: thanks to the two coats of clear lacquer, simply wipe the board with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid prolonged wetness and harsh cleaning products – that way the surface stays looking good for a long time with minimal effort.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the board in portrait and landscape? Yes, when ordering you choose portrait or landscape for each format (A3, A4, A5).

Will anything fall out when I turn the pages? No, the pages are held in the ring binder mechanism and can be turned without any sheet falling out.

Why does my board look slightly different from the picture? Wood is a natural material: shade, grain and small knots vary – every board is unique. The grain may also run horizontally or vertically; a preferred direction is possible by arrangement.

Can it be personalised? Yes, on request we can add your engraved logo or a text to the board – just send us a short message.

How do I care for the surface? Simply wipe with a damp cloth when needed; the two coats of clear lacquer protect the wood in everyday use. Please avoid prolonged moisture.

Your legal guarantee rights

EU notice “Legal guarantee”: Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union. Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods do not match the description or do not function as intended. Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer free repair or free replacement; in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement. Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year. For more information on your rights in a specific country, scan the QR code or ask the seller: europa.eu/youreurope/guarantees. What to do if you receive non-conforming goods: 1. Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue. 2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement. Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.
