Lunchtime rush at the café. The orders come in faster than you can write. And the pile of notes is sliding apart again. With the yellow Gastro ring binder board, you simply file order lists, notes or the menu. You can write comfortably standing up, and no sheet slips out of place. At home, too, it works well as a writing board for shopping lists, recipes or weekly plans. It fits right into your everyday life. And thanks to its bold yellow, you'll spot it on any counter straight away.

What changes for you

  • You can write neatly and comfortably, even standing up. The 3 mm birch plywood makes a sturdy, smooth writing surface.
  • Your notes, order lists or menus stay in place. The silver ring binder mechanism holds every sheet securely. Turning the pages is still easy.
  • You always have the board to hand or neatly put away. Use the hand grip to hold it on the move or to hang it on a hook.
  • You'll find your writing board at once, even when things get busy. The bright yellow stands out clearly against counters, desks and workbenches.
  • Make your board your own. On request, we can engrave your logo or a text on it. Just get in touch.

Why this ring binder board makes a difference every day

Loose notes cost time and nerves. Especially when guests are waiting or you need both hands. With a fixed place for everything you want to jot down or look up quickly, your day runs more smoothly. You reach for the board, write, turn the page and hang it back up. At the counter, at the lectern or on the kitchen hook: everything important is organised and within reach.

Material & finish

The board is pleasantly light in your hand, yet it can take quite a lot. The 3 mm birch plywood makes it very sturdy and robust. A water-based clear lacquer, applied twice, protects the surface in daily use. Every ring binder board is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. It is neatly finished, right down to the rounded corners of the wave shape. Wood is a purely natural material. Small knots, different shades and slight irregularities in the grain are not flaws. They make every board one of a kind. The grain can run horizontally or vertically. If you'd like, just send us a short message and we'll agree on it with you.

How to use your ring binder board

  • In restaurants or hotels: file the menu in the ring binder in A4 format. Your guests can leaf through it easily. And the menu looks neat and uniform on every table.
  • In service and catering: order lists and daily schedules hang ready on the hook. You take the board with you, write standing up and hang it back again.
  • On stage, in the studio or at the lectern: your script, presenter notes or speech are securely filed. You turn the pages without a sheet falling out.
  • In the office and the workshop: checklists and records stay together in the ring binder. Instead of loose notes, you have a mobile writing board that goes wherever you go.
  • At home: the shopping list, recipe collection or weekly plan hangs in the kitchen. Everyone in the family knows where to look and where to write things down.

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several thin layers of wood glued together crosswise. This makes the board much more stable and less prone to warping than solid wood of the same thickness. That's exactly why a thickness of just 3 mm is enough for the ring binder board. It stays light to carry and still gives you a firm, flat surface to write on.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Simply wipe the lacquered surface with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaning products. That way, your board keeps its bold colour and smooth surface for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Is the ring binder mechanism included? Yes. Every board comes with the ring binder mechanism that matches the size you choose.

Can I choose between portrait and landscape? Yes. All three formats – A3, A4 and A5 – can be ordered in portrait or landscape.

Why does the grain on my board run differently from the picture? We optimise our cutouts to avoid unnecessary waste. So the grain may run horizontally or vertically. A preferred direction is possible after a quick chat with us.

Can the board have a logo? Yes. On request, we engrave your logo or a text. Just send us a message.

Are small knots in the wood normal? Yes. Wood is a natural material with different shades and fine textures. That's exactly what makes every board one of a kind.

Picture the busy moment when you reach for the yellow board. You jot something down quickly. And everything has its proper place. Just choose your format, and your new ring binder board will be on its way to you.

Sellers in such a situation are required to offer free repair or free replacement; in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement. Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.
