Your first guests are about to arrive. The daily menu should sit neatly on the counter. Not as a loose pile of paper, but securely filed and close at hand. That is exactly what the Gastro ring binder board in the warm shade Rum is made for at your reception. The silver ring binder mechanism holds menus, checklists and forms firmly together. The finger hole sits comfortably in your hand or lets you hang the board up. At home or in the workshop, the birch plywood board also works as a writing base. It helps you keep loose paperwork calmer and better organised.

What changes for you

  • You turn the page without a single sheet falling out – because the ring binder mechanism holds your pages securely together, whether it's a menu, a script or a notepad.
  • Your counter or desk looks tidier – because loose notes get a proper home on the board instead of piling up.
  • You can write comfortably standing up and on the go – thanks to the sturdy, smooth writing surface made from 3 mm thick birch plywood.
  • You always have the board to hand – the hand grip lets you hold it or hang it on a hook or the wall.
  • You choose exactly the format you need – A3, A4 or A5, each in portrait or landscape.

Why this ring binder board makes a difference every day

A menu on a wooden board looks different from a sheet in a plastic sleeve. It looks calmer, with visible wood grain instead of a smooth surface. The shade Rum suits dining rooms, receptions and workshops alike. It gives your presentation a consistent frame. At the same time, you keep both hands free for what matters in your working day. The board holds your papers together, and you look after your guests.

Material & finish

The board feels pleasantly light in your hand and still keeps its shape. It is made from 3 mm birch plywood, so it is very sturdy and robust, even in daily use. The surface is sealed twice with a durable water-based clear varnish. This keeps it smooth to write on and hard-wearing in use. Every board is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, and is carefully finished. Wood is a purely natural material. Differences in lightness, small knots and varying grain are part of it. They make each piece unique and are not a defect. On request, we can also engrave your board with a logo or text. Just get in touch.

How to use your ring binder board

  • In restaurants or cafés: file today's menu, bring the board to the table or hang it up by the hand grip – your guests hold a menu that feels like it was put together with care.
  • In hotels and at reception: registration forms and guest lists sit securely on the writing surface – you hand everything over in one go, without hunting for paperwork.
  • On stage, in the studio or at the lectern: file your screenplay, presenter notes or speech in this script holder and turn the pages calmly – no page slips out.
  • In the workshop and warehouse: checklists and job sheets are always ready on the hook. The durable clear varnish copes with everyday working life.
  • At home and in the office: as a writing board for notes, shopping lists and documents – everything together in one place instead of scattered across the table.

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several layers of wood glued crosswise – which makes it much more resistant to warping than a solid wood board of the same thickness. So despite its slim 3 mm thickness, the ring binder board stays rigid and light, just right for daily use in hospitality, the office and on the go.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do: thanks to the two coats of clear lacquer, simply wipe the board with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid soaking it for long periods and harsh cleaning products – that way the surface keeps its warm Rum shade and smooth feel for a long time.
