Material & finish

The board comes from our own production in Pößneck. It is made from 3mm birch plywood that feels surprisingly sturdy and robust, yet is light in the hand. The teak-coloured surface is sealed twice with a durable water-based clear lacquer. It stays smooth to write on and copes well with daily use in hospitality and offices. Wood is a natural material. Brightness and grain vary slightly, and small knots may occur. This makes every piece unique – it is not a defect. The grain can run horizontally or vertically. On request, we can agree the direction with you. Would you like your logo or a text on the board? Engraving is possible – just write to us.

The ring binder mechanism goes back to Friedrich Soennecken, a businessman from Bonn. At the end of the 19th century, he developed a filing system and the hole punch. Since then, ring mechanisms have been standard equipment in every office. On a board, the principle shows its strength where there is no desk nearby. Pages stay in order, can be turned and swapped at any time. That makes it ideal for menus, scripts and checklists used while standing.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Wipe the sealed surface with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaning products. That way, the teak-coloured surface stays looking good for a long time and the writing surface stays smooth.
