The board is made of 3 mm birch plywood. It's thin enough to sit lightly in your hand. Yet it's sturdy enough for you to rest on it while writing. The violet surface is sealed twice with a durable water-based clear varnish. The edges are cleanly finished and the corners are rounded. Every ring binder board is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a natural material. Small differences in shade and grain, plus the odd knot, are part of it. Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood consists of several veneer layers glued crosswise. This means it warps far less than solid wood of the same thickness. That's why the board, only 3 mm thin, keeps its shape. It offers a flat writing surface, even when it passes through many hands every day in a busy restaurant.

Care & durability

There isn't much to do. Wipe the sealed surface with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Then let the board dry. Avoid prolonged wetness and harsh cleaning agents. That way the violet surface keeps its well-kept look for a long time.
