The board sits comfortably in your hand. That's because the segment shape has rounded corners and no sharp edges. Depending on the version, it is made of 3 mm thick coloured birch plywood. This is sealed twice with a durable water-based clear varnish. That keeps the surface smooth and the colour looking good for a long time. Alternatively, the board is available in smoothly sanded HDF (high-density fibreboard) in natural. Both versions are sturdy and robustly made. Birch plywood is a natural material. The grain varies in lightness, and small knots and textures are part of it. That is exactly what makes each board one of a kind. Every ring binder board is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.
