Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The first warm days are here and the windows are clean. Now all that's missing is a splash of colour to bring spring indoors. This red wooden dragonfly is made for exactly that. It's a laser-cut decorative cutout made of plywood. Put it in the window, scatter it on the table or decorate it with the children. A few simple steps give you a decoration that looks like a summer meadow.
What changes for you
- Your window or table gets a spring-like splash of colour straight away. The strong red glaze stands out from a distance. Depending on the light, the wood grain even shows through.
- You can use the dragonfly for crafting with children. The glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
- You'll find the right size for every idea. You can choose the wingspan from 3 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- Your project works without any reworking. The laser cut gives smooth edges and accurate shapes, including the typical fine brown edge.
- You can paint the untreated back or stick things on it, just as you like. That turns the cutout into your own one-of-a-kind piece.
Why this wooden dragonfly makes a difference every day
Decorations don't have to be elaborate to work. A few dragonflies in the window or scattered across the table for coffee and cake make the room feel lighter. They bring spring to mind without lengthy arranging. And because it's real wood, the motif fits naturally into your home. That's quite different from smooth plastic decorations.
Material & finish
The dragonfly is made of 3 mm plywood and laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. That's why the edges are clean and smooth and the shape is accurate. The front has a red glaze. Depending on the light, you can still see the grain and small knots. The back is left natural and untreated. Wood is a purely natural material. Variations in shade, fine textures and small knots are part of it. They make every piece unique and are not a flaw.

How to use the wooden dragonfly
- In the window in spring: Put up a few dragonflies in different sizes. Your window display comes to life, as if a swarm had just flown past.
- On the table for coffee and cake: Scatter small dragonflies between the plates. Your guests will spot the red dots of colour as they sit down.
- Crafting with children: Paint, decorate or write on the untreated back. Each child designs their own dragonfly.
- For money gifts and greetings cards: Stick on a small dragonfly. A plain envelope becomes a thoughtful gesture.
- In a shop or café: Place large dragonflies in the shop window or on the counter. Your seasonal spring decoration is ready in a few minutes, and passers-by will notice it.
Good to know about the dragonfly
In Japan, the dragonfly has been a symbol of luck for centuries. It stands for courage and confidence. The country was once even known by the poetic name "Dragonfly Island". That's why the motif works not only as spring and summer decoration. It also makes a small lucky charm on cards, on gifts and at celebrations.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. An occasional dry dusting is enough. Avoid lasting damp and wet, as the back is untreated. That way your dragonfly will keep looking good for a long time.
