The first fresh branches are in the vase. Outside, the days are slowly getting lighter. Now only spring needs to come inside. With these red wooden Easter eggs, you bring it in with one simple step: thread, hang, done. Every Easter egg in birch plywood comes from our own production in Pößneck. It's made for your Easter branches.

What changes for you

  • Your Easter branches are decorated in just a few minutes. Thanks to the 3 mm hole, you simply thread a ribbon through and hang the eggs on fresh branches.
  • You'll find the right size for every idea. The Easter eggs are available from 3 cm to 50 cm in height, in 1 cm steps. Choose small ones for shrubs or a large egg for the window.
  • Your Easter decorations are red all the way round. Each egg is lacquered on both sides. So it looks good from every angle, even when it hangs freely.
  • You decorate with real natural wood instead of mass-produced items. The water-based lacquer lets the grain and small knots show through. So every piece is one of a kind.
  • You can hang the same eggs up again year after year. The sturdy birch plywood makes them long-lasting, unlike fragile Easter decorations.

Why these wooden Easter eggs make a difference in everyday life

Easter decorating should be fun, not work. With these wooden eggs, there's nothing to blow out, nothing to paint and nothing to pack away carefully. You hang them up, and the room instantly looks festive and spring-like. The warm red on light birch wood brings colour into your home without being loud. After Easter, the eggs simply go back in the box for next year.

Material & finish

The Easter eggs are laser-cut. This gives smooth edges and precise shapes that are pleasant to the touch and neatly finished. The coloured water-based lacquer doesn't cover everything. It leaves the wood grain and small knots visible. Wood is a purely natural material, so every egg varies slightly in shade and texture. That's exactly what makes your Easter decorations unique. They are made in Thuringia, in Bütic's own production in Pößneck.

How to use the Easter eggs

  • On Easter branches in a vase: Thread a ribbon through the hole and hang it on the branches. Your dining table will be the first thing guests notice at Easter.
  • As tree decorations in the garden: Hang several eggs in different sizes on your Easter tree. Even from the street, people can see that spring has arrived.
  • For crafting with children: You can stick things on the smooth wooden eggs and decorate them. In the end, a home-made Easter egg hangs in the window, and everyone is proud of it.
  • In a bakery, café or shop: Put large eggs in the shop window and small ones on branches on the counter. Your Easter decorations are quick to set up and break-resistant in everyday use. After the holiday, they store away in little space until next year.
  • On the Easter table: Tie a small egg to the napkin ribbon at each place. Your table looks well thought out, without long hours of decorating.

Good to know about the Easter egg

For centuries, the egg has been a symbol of new life and fertility. That's why it's a firm part of Easter customs in many regions. You'll find it on decorated Easter branches in the living room and on Easter trees in the garden. Wooden Easter eggs continue this tradition, only they last. You can build up a collection bit by bit and use it again every year.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Simply wipe off dust with a dry cloth and store the eggs somewhere dry after Easter. Avoid prolonged moisture. That way, the wood and lacquer keep their colour and shape for a long time, and you can enjoy your decorations for many Easters.

Frequently asked questions

How do I hang the Easter eggs? Each egg has a hole with a 3 mm diameter. Thread a thin ribbon or string through, tie a knot and hang it up.

Are the eggs lacquered on both sides? Yes, both sides are lacquered red. So the eggs also work for hanging freely, where both sides are visible.

Why don't all the eggs look exactly the same? Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. The water-based lacquer deliberately lets this texture show through. Every egg is one of a kind.

How wide is an egg compared to its height? As a guide: at 10 cm high, the width is 7.5 cm. This ratio helps you choose the right size for branches, windows or shop windows.

A lacquered piece of birch wood is only the start. The best part is the moment the first eggs dangle from the branches and your home looks like spring. Simply choose your size and quantity. Ribbon and branches do the rest.
