Why red wooden Easter eggs make a difference in everyday life
Wooden decorations feel calmer and warmer in a room than plastic ones. The bold red front contrasts clearly with the brown laser-cut edge. This edge traces the outline of every egg. The eggs suit the table at home just as well as the counter in a café.
Material & finish
Every Easter egg is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives clean, smooth edges and an accurate shape, even when you arrange lots of eggs side by side. The front has a red stain. Depending on the light, the grain and small knots still show through. This is a sign of the natural material and makes every piece unique. It is not a defect. The back is left natural and untreated, so you can design it yourself. The cutouts are made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden Easter eggs
- At Easter breakfast: scatter a few eggs between the plates and napkins as table scatter. Your table looks festive in two minutes.
- In the Easter nest: tuck the small sizes between the moss and sweets. The splash of colour stays after the treats are gone.
- Crafting with children: paint the natural back or write names on it. This way you make personalised place cards for the Easter table.
- On cards and wreaths: glue on an egg, and your Easter post or front-door wreath has its spot of red.
- In your shop: bakeries, cafés and market stalls can decorate counters and shop windows quickly and consistently. Combine different sizes to fill the space in graded steps. With sets of up to 100 pieces, you have enough for larger areas too.
- Our tip for more colour: Combine the red eggs with other colours. This way you can arrange colourful Easter eggs as table scatter, in the Easter nest or glued onto cards and wreaths.
Good to know about the red Easter egg
The red-dyed egg is considered the oldest form of Easter egg. In Orthodox tradition, the colour red stands for life and the resurrection. Red is still the classic Easter colour today. That is why these eggs fit so naturally into any Easter decoration, whether traditional or modern.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the eggs somewhere dry after Easter, and you can enjoy them again next spring. Avoid constant moisture, as the back is untreated. This way the colour and shape last a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Are the Easter eggs red on both sides? No, only the front is stained. The back is left natural and untreated – ideal for painting or covering with paper.
Does the stain meet safety requirements? Yes, it meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
Why can you sometimes see grain or small knots? Wood is a purely natural material and is never completely even. Depending on the light, the grain and knots show through the stain. This is exactly what makes every egg unique.
Can I decorate the eggs myself? Yes. The untreated back in particular is well suited to painting, writing on and decorating.
Picture the moment your family sits down at the Easter table. Their first glance falls on the red eggs you have carefully set out. Just choose your size and set quantity – and spring can come.
