Why this red wooden butterfly makes a difference every day
A single motif on the window changes the mood in a room. It looks lively without being busy. With more of them, you can create a whole swarm. Put it on the wall, above the buffet or use it as table scatter. This is how you bring colour and a light touch to your home or shop window, with very little effort.
Material & finish
Each butterfly is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it the typical fine brown edge, which frames the motif and outlines its shape. The red glaze on the front covers well. Depending on the light, the grain and small knots still show through. This is a visible sign that you are holding a natural product. Wood is never completely even. Different shades and small knots are part of it, so every piece is unique. The butterflies are made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden butterfly
- On the window in spring: put a few butterflies in different sizes on the glass. Straight away, the view outside feels lighter.
- On the laid table: a small red butterfly at every place. Your guests have something to discover before the first bite.
- Crafting with children: paint or decorate the natural back. The cutout becomes a handmade gift.
- On the wall in a child's room or hallway: a rising swarm in several sizes. Suddenly the empty wall tells a little story.
- For cafés, bakeries and shops: arrange the butterflies in the shop window, on the counter or above the buffet. They mark the season. With sets of up to 100, even large areas are done quickly.
Good to know about the butterfly
The butterfly has long been a symbol of change and new beginnings. Hardly any motif stands for spring quite like it. That's why it suits more than the window and the Easter table. It also fits christenings, First Communion or birthdays, where a new stage of life is celebrated.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Dusting now and then with a dry, soft cloth is enough. Avoid lasting moisture, as plywood is a natural material. Stored dry, the butterflies keep their colour and shape for many seasons.
