Advent is just around the corner. Glue, string and paints are on the table. And you are still missing the piece that turns your craft idea into something finished. This red wooden star with 8 points is made for your Christmas decorations. It comes ready glazed and precisely laser-cut. You can choose a height from 3 to 50 cm. That way, loose ideas quickly become a window decoration, a gift tag or a star on your Advent wreath.

What changes for you

  • You can start straight away. There is no need to prime or paint – the front already has a strong red glaze.
  • You can craft with children without worry. The glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
  • Your decorations look uniform rather than thrown together. Every star is laser-cut, so it is true to size with smooth edges.
  • You will find the right size for every project. You can choose any height from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You save time and money on bigger projects. The star is also available as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100.

Why this wooden star makes a difference every day

A star made of real wood feels different in your home from decorations made of foil or paper. Depending on the light, the grain and small knots show through the red glaze. This gives your window, your gift or your Advent wreath a natural, lively look. And because all the stars have the same clear shape, a whole garland hangs evenly in a row.

Material & finish

  • Plywood, 3 mm thick. Light enough to hang up and glue on, yet it keeps its shape.
  • Laser-cut cutout with the typical brown edge. The edges are smooth and the shape is true to size, with no finishing needed.
  • Depending on the light, the red glaze on the front lets the wood grain show through. You can see that the star is made of real wood.
  • The back is left natural and untreated. It is ideal for sticking things on, writing on or painting your own way.
  • Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary. This makes every piece one of a kind – it is not a flaw.
  • Made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, with careful workmanship.

How to use your wooden star

  • Making Christmas decorations: Hang several sizes on jute string in the window. Your home looks festive to anyone walking past.
  • Crafting with children: The little ones decorate the natural back with glitter or paint it themselves. Then they proudly hang their own star on the tree.
  • Making Christmas cards: Stick a small 3 cm star on the card. A greeting becomes a little gift that people like to keep.
  • Making an Advent calendar: Use the stars as numbered tags on 24 little bags. The calendar looks lovingly made, year after year.
  • For business in a café, bakery or Christmas market stall: Order the stars as a set. They decorate your counter, shop window and price tags in uniform red. They are quick to set up and need no extra painting.

Good to know about the eight-pointed star

The eight-pointed star has been closely linked with Christmas for centuries. In many depictions it stands for the Star of Bethlehem, which shows the way to the manger. So it suits general winter decorations, and especially Advent, nativity plays and Christmas gifts.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. An occasional dry dusting keeps the star looking fresh year after year. Wood is a natural material, so avoid wet conditions and constant damp. Then the shape stays stable and the red surface looks good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Is the glaze suitable when children join in? Yes, the glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3. So the star is also suitable for Christmas crafts with children.

Are both sides glazed? No, only the front has a red glaze. The back is left natural and untreated. It is ideal for sticking things on or painting yourself.

Why does the star have a brown edge? The star is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge. The process also gives smooth cuts that are true to size.

Do all the stars look exactly the same? The shape is true to size. But the wood underneath is a natural material. Grain, shade and small knots vary and can show through the glaze depending on the light. Every piece is one of a kind.

How wide is the star? Height and width are the same. A star that is 10 cm high from point to point is also 10 cm wide.

A red wooden cutout is just the start. Then comes the moment when the window glows, the card is in the post and you notice: these Christmas decorations are your own work. Simply choose your size and quantity – and get started.
