Why this cardboard cutout makes a difference in everyday use
No need to trace a map and cut it out. You simply get started. The finished state outline gives your decoration a clear shape straight away. At the buffet of a Saarland party, as a direction sign at a wedding or as a sign on a shop counter: the outline of the state shows the regional link at a glance.
Material & finish
The 1.2 mm solid board in bookbinding quality feels firm in your hand and keeps its shape. At 755 g/m², it is much sturdier than ordinary craft card. The surface is smooth and untreated, so paint, varnish and glue adhere well. The laser-cut edges are brown and give the motif a clean, defined line. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

Good to know about Saarland
Saarland is the smallest of Germany's non-city states. That is often exactly where people feel especially attached to their home. This is why the outline works so well for gifts, signs and decorations with a regional link. People recognise the shape straight away, and it brings back a little piece of home.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Store the untreated cardboard in a dry place and protect it from long-term moisture. It will then keep its firm shape and smooth surface for a long time. If you paint or varnish it, the surface becomes even more resistant.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the cutout? Yes. The untreated, smooth surface can be glued, painted, brushed with paint or varnished.
How tall is the cutout at a given width? As a reference: at a width of 10 cm, the height is 8 cm. Height and width increase in the same proportion.
