The discs are laser cut. This makes them especially clean and precise, with smooth edges and accurate dimensions. We flame-treat the raw boards ourselves in Bütic's own production in Pößneck. We do this carefully, piece by piece. This creates a rustic look that no stain can imitate. A colourless, satin-matt, water-based varnish is applied to both sides. It protects the surface and lets the grain and knots show through. Wood is a purely natural material. It can be lighter or darker and shows different textures and small knots. This is not a flaw. It is exactly what makes each disc unique.
