Material & finish

The disc is made from 3 mm birch plywood in Bütic's own production in Pößneck. We lacquer the raw boards in colour on both sides ourselves. The satin-matt, water-based finish lets the wood grain show through instead of covering it. The disc is laser cut. This gives smooth, clean edges with no reworking needed. Wood is a purely natural material. Small differences in the grain and the odd knot are normal. They make each disc a one-off, not a flaw.

Good to know about birch plywood
