The disc is made of 3 mm thick birch plywood. It comes from our own production in Pößneck. We cut it with a laser. This gives clean, smooth edges and accurate shapes with no fraying. We paint the raw boards grey on both sides ourselves. Then we seal both sides with a clear, satin, water-based lacquer. The grain and knots show through the paint. Wood is a natural material. Variations in colour and small textures are part of it. They make each disc one of a kind, not faulty.
