Material & finish

The disc is made of 3 mm birch plywood. It is thin enough to hang easily, yet stays stable for signs and display stands. We lacquer the raw boards ourselves on both sides in hazelnut, in our own production in Pößneck. Then we seal them with a colourless, satin, water-based lacquer. The sealed surface is easy to paint, decorate and label. Wood is still a natural material. Variations in shade, texture and small knots are part of it. They are not flaws. They make every disc unique.

How to use your wooden disc

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several veneer layers glued crosswise. This means it warps much less than a solid wood board. That's why the flat disc works so well for signs, display stands and painted decorations. The surface stays flat, and your design keeps its shape.

Care & durability

There's not much to do. Wipe the lacquered surface now and then with a dry or slightly damp cloth to keep it looking good. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaners. That way the colour and sealing will last for years.
