The disc is made of 3 mm birch plywood in our own production in Pößneck. We paint the raw boards in colour on both sides ourselves. Then we seal them with a colourless, satin, water-based clear lacquer. This keeps the surface pleasantly smooth, and the natural grain stays visible. The cutouts are laser cut, so the edges are clean and the shape is accurate. Wood is a natural material. Shade, texture and small knots vary from disc to disc. This makes each piece unique – it is not a flaw.
