The disc is made of 3 mm birch plywood. We cut it and paint both sides ourselves in our own production in Pößneck. A final water-based clear varnish protects the surface with a satin finish. It lets the natural wood grain show through. Laser cutting gives clean, smooth edges and an exact shape. Wood is a purely natural material. It varies in shade and shows more or less grain and small knots. This is what makes every disc unique – it is not a flaw.

How to use your wooden disc

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several layers of wood glued crosswise. This makes it much more stable than a solid wood board of the same thickness, and it hardly warps. That is why the disc, only 3 mm thick, is so good for writing on, sticking on and hanging up. It stays flat, even with larger diameters.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. For everyday care, simply wipe the disc with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaners. That way the painted surface keeps its even satin finish for a long time.
