Material & finish

The disc is made of 3 mm birch plywood. It is thin enough to hang up easily and to stick things on, yet keeps its shape. In our own production in Pößneck, we lacquer the raw boards scarlet on both sides ourselves. We then seal them with a colourless, satin, water-based lacquer. This keeps the natural wood grain visible. Differences in shade and small knots are not flaws. They are part of what makes a natural material – no two pieces are the same. Laser cutting gives clean, precise edges. Made in Thuringia.

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several thin layers of veneer glued together crosswise. This means it warps much less than solid wood of the same thickness. That is why the disc, only 3 mm thick, keeps its shape. It also works for larger sizes up to 50 cm, for example as wall decoration or a base.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Thanks to the lacquer seal on both sides, simply wipe the disc dry or with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture, as wood is a natural material. This keeps the surface even and looking good for a long time.
