Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The club party is coming up and the tables are laid. But one thing is missing: a motif everyone understands at once. Hammer and pick (Schlägel und Eisen) is the traditional symbol of mining. This cardboard cutout to DIN21800 brings exactly this symbol to your table, your wall or your craft group. It's made for your next miners' celebration. You paint, cover or varnish it to suit your occasion.

- You can decorate with a clear conscience. The solid board is made from 100 % recycled material.
Why this cardboard cutout makes a difference in everyday life
Guild meeting, birthday with a mining theme or wedding with a regional theme? With a clearly recognisable motif, your decorations look planned rather than thrown together. You don't need to hunt for a ready-made hammer and pick decoration. Instead, you have a blank that adapts to your style. Leave it natural for a rustic look or decorate it in colour. That way the decorations suit the occasion and aren't off the shelf.
Material & finish
The 1.2 mm bookbinder's board is firm and holds its shape. Your motif won't droop when hung or stood up. It keeps its outline. The surface is smooth, so paint and glue go on evenly. The brown laser-cut edges give the cutout a handmade look. Every piece is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. It is neatly finished and made from 100 % recycled material.

How to use your mallet & iron
- At the club party: one large motif on the end wall and small ones at every place. Anyone entering the hall sees at once what today is about.
- At the craft table: children and adults paint their own cutouts. Everyone takes home a keepsake they made themselves.
- For a wedding or engagement in a family with a mining tradition: the symbol on the table decorations tells your story without a word.
- In a shop or at a market in a mining region: the motif in the window or on the counter shows the local connection straight away. It takes just a few minutes to hang up.
- For guild meetings and memorial events: cutouts in the same design create a uniform look. With sets of up to 100 pieces, this works for large groups too.
Good to know about hammer and pick
The crossed miner's tools – hammer and pick (Schlägel und Eisen) – have been the emblem of mining for centuries. You still find them today on coats of arms, maps and club banners. Do you need a hammer and pick logo for party decorations, club activities or regional events? This cutout gives you the traditional standard shape to DIN21800.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Store the untreated board in a dry place and keep it away from constant damp. That way it keeps its shape and you can reuse your motif for many occasions. You can also paint or varnish the surface to suit your taste.
