Why this wooden shooting star makes a difference in everyday life
In the window, on a mobile or on a festively laid table: the motif stays subtle and never looks intrusive. The silver shimmer suits Advent as well as good wishes all year round. After all, a shooting star stands for wishes that come true. The wood is easy to combine with other materials and decorations.
Material & finish
Each shooting star is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives it the typical, finely burnt brown edge, which makes the outline stand out more clearly. The silver glaze covers well. Depending on the light, the wood grain and small knots can still show through. Wood is a purely natural material. It varies in shade and has its own structure. That makes every piece unique. The cutouts are made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, with clean, careful finishing.

- Crafting with children: the little ones paint the natural back – and are proud of their own decoration on the fir branch.
- For money gifts or Christmas cards: stick on a small shooting star – and the envelope becomes something people remember.
- Making an Advent calendar: you number 24 small shooting stars on the back – and every door gets its own shining piece.
- In a café, a bakery or at a market stall: large shooting stars in the shop window or on the counter create a festive display in a few minutes. There's no big set-up effort. And you can reuse them year after year.
Good to know about shooting stars
The custom of making a wish when you see a shooting star goes back centuries. The glowing trail in the night sky has always been seen as a moment of luck. That is why the motif suits not only Christmas and Advent. It also works for greetings cards, birth announcements and gifts that carry your good wishes.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do: an occasional dry dusting is enough. Plywood is a natural material, so protect the shooting stars from constant moisture. Then they keep their silver shimmer for many years and see you through every Advent.
